Intellectual Property Policy
This policy explains how Quantum Intelligence Hub LTD (“QIH”) identifies, owns, licenses, uses and protects intellectual property across its corporate, digital, educational, ecommerce, research, cybersecurity and AI Digital Reception activities.
Purpose and scope
This policy applies to QIHHUB.COM, QIHHUB.INFO, QIHNETWORK.COM, QIHHUB.ONLINE, QIHHUB.NET, QIHHUB.SHOP, QIHHUB.STORE, OMERAKIN.NL, AI.QIHHUB.COM and related QIH-operated platforms, products, portals, publications and services.
Its purpose is to distinguish QIH’s background intellectual property, customer-owned materials, bespoke deliverables, licensed third-party assets and rights arising in new work. Detailed copyright-use rules are set out separately in the QIH Copyright Notice.
Intellectual property categories
Patents may protect qualifying inventions only where the legal requirements are met and the relevant protection has been obtained. Official overview: GOV.UK – Protect Your Intellectual Property.
Ownership and chain of title
QIH will claim ownership only where that ownership arises under law, a valid assignment, employment terms or another enforceable agreement. QIH should maintain reasonable records of authorship, creation dates, registrations, licences and assignments for material business assets.
- QIH-owned pre-existing technology, templates, branding, documentation and know-how remain QIH property.
- Employee and contractor contributions are governed by applicable law and their written agreements.
- An assignment must satisfy any applicable written-form and signature requirements.
- Registration is not required for every IP right, but may assist proof and enforcement where available.
Customer projects and deliverables
Ownership and use rights for each customer project are determined by the applicable Master Service Agreement, proposal, statement of work or order form. Unless those documents expressly state otherwise:
- the customer retains ownership of material it supplies;
- QIH retains its background IP, general tools, reusable modules, methods, know-how and non-customer-specific improvements;
- the customer receives the licence expressly described for the final paid deliverables;
- ownership of bespoke code, source files, designs or content is not transferred merely because a service fee was paid;
- drafts and rejected concepts remain subject to the agreed project terms and third-party rights.
No clause permits QIH to reuse a customer’s confidential information or personal data outside the agreed service purpose.
Licences granted by QIH
A QIH licence may be limited by user, entity, service, territory, purpose, channel, duration, number of installations or other written conditions. Unless an agreement says otherwise, a licence:
- does not transfer ownership;
- does not include a right to sublicense, resell or commercially redistribute;
- does not authorise removal of rights or attribution notices;
- does not include source code, editable files or development materials unless expressly listed;
- may end when the underlying service or agreement lawfully ends.
Mandatory statutory rights and exceptions remain unaffected.
Trade marks, brand identity and domains
QIH names, logos, service names, visual identity and distinctive signs may be protected through registered or unregistered rights, goodwill and passing-off rules. No person may create a false impression of sponsorship, certification, partnership or affiliation with QIH.
- Partners may use approved brand assets only within their written authorisation.
- Domain names and social accounts must not imitate QIH in a misleading manner.
- Brand assets must not be altered or combined with another identity without approval.
- Accurate descriptive or nominative references that do not cause confusion may be used where lawful.
Software, infrastructure and open-source components
QIH software environments may contain QIH-owned code, customer-specific configurations, third-party commercial components and open-source software. Each component remains subject to its applicable ownership and licence terms.
- Open-source software is not converted into QIH-exclusive property by being used in a QIH system.
- Copyright and licence notices required by an open-source licence must be preserved.
- Customers receive only the access and rights described in their agreement.
- Security testing, reverse engineering and interoperability activities remain subject to applicable law, contract, authorisation and the QIH Security Disclosure Policy.
Databases, datasets and structured information
Copyright may protect an original selection or arrangement of database material. Separate UK database rights may protect qualifying investment in obtaining, verifying or presenting database contents. These protections are distinct and territorial.
- QIH claims database rights only where the legal eligibility and investment requirements are met.
- Facts and individual data items are not automatically owned by QIH merely because they appear in a database.
- Unauthorised extraction or reutilisation of all or a substantial part may be restricted where a qualifying right exists.
- Personal data remains subject to privacy and data-protection law regardless of any database right.

Confidential information and trade secrets
Non-public commercial plans, prices, security details, prompts, internal procedures, source code, credentials, customer data, system architecture and other confidential material may be protected by confidentiality duties, contract and applicable law.
- Confidential status does not depend on copyright ownership.
- Access must be restricted to authorised persons with a legitimate need.
- Recipients must use confidential information only for the agreed purpose.
- Information lawfully public, independently developed or required to be disclosed by law is handled according to the applicable agreement and law.
Educational materials and certifications
QIH Academy courses, assessments, presentations, recordings, workbooks and original educational arrangements may be protected intellectual property. Enrolment normally provides a personal, limited, non-transferable learning licence rather than ownership.
- Users must not share accounts, record courses, publish assessments or resell materials.
- Certificates must not be altered, transferred or represented misleadingly.
- QIH does not claim ownership of general knowledge, facts or a learner’s independently created work.
- Accessibility adjustments and mandatory education, research and quotation exceptions remain unaffected.
AI systems and AI-assisted outputs
AI Digital Reception and other QIH services may involve AI-assisted creation, classification, summarisation or automation. Rights in any output depend on applicable law, meaningful human contribution, input rights, provider terms and contractual allocation.
- QIH does not claim that every machine-generated output automatically attracts copyright or belongs exclusively to QIH.
- QIH may protect its original human-authored prompts, curated knowledge-base structure, workflows, interfaces, documentation and confidential configurations where legally eligible.
- Customer-provided data and brand material remain subject to the customer’s rights and service agreement.
- Third-party model, software and dataset rights remain with their respective owners.
Third-party and user-submitted material
Anyone providing content to QIH must have the rights, permissions or other lawful basis required for the requested use. The provider retains ownership unless a written agreement states otherwise and grants QIH only the rights reasonably required to deliver, secure, support and document the service.
- QIH may request evidence of rights or permission.
- Suspected infringing material may be temporarily restricted while reviewed.
- Third-party stock assets, fonts, plugins and media remain governed by their licences.
- A customer’s indemnity does not excuse QIH from its own fault, knowledge or unlawful conduct.
Infringement reports and counter-notices
Rights holders may report suspected infringement to legal@qihhub.com with identification of the right, the material, its location, evidence of authority, contact details, a good-faith statement and a signature.
The content provider may respond with evidence of ownership, licence, permission or a statutory exception. QIH may preserve evidence, seek further information, restrict or restore material, and refer unresolved ownership disputes to the parties or a competent authority. Reports are assessed in good faith; knowingly false or abusive notices may themselves breach law or policy.
Protection and proportionate enforcement
Where QIH reasonably verifies an infringement, it may seek cessation, negotiate a licence, restrict access, issue platform or hosting notices, use alternative dispute resolution, or pursue an injunction, damages or another remedy available under law. Enforcement decisions should reflect evidence, jurisdiction, urgency, proportionality and statutory exceptions.

Responsibility, updates, governing law and contact
Each party is responsible, to the extent provided by applicable law, for infringement caused by its own material, instructions, acts or omissions. QIH does not exclude responsibility for its own deliberate conduct or negligence where liability cannot lawfully be limited.
- This policy does not override a signed project-specific agreement; where terms conflict, the more specific valid written term governs that project.
- Nothing excludes fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury, or other liability that mandatory law does not permit to be excluded.
- The policy may be updated as services, registrations or law change; material amendments apply prospectively from publication.
- It is governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to mandatory rights in other applicable jurisdictions.
